A house of approximately 4500 square feet for a young couple and their three children on a large lot on the inland side of Corpus Christi’s Ocean Drive. 

This section of Ocean Drive is home to some of the city’s most admired homes – many dating from the 30’s and 40’s and built in grand Spanish Colonial or Italianate revival styles.  This design is a modest and contemporary response to those precedents.  It is proportioned at a height and width common to those homes built before air conditioning.  The limestone CMU veneer is reinforced to provide significantly enhanced hurricane resistance, and detailed to allude to traditional stone craftsmanship.
