FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF HEBBRONVILLE

Location: Hebbronville, Texas

Owner: First National Bank

A 9,200 sf bank in a small arid town with predominantly Mexican identity, reinforced by the use of brick, tile and terracotta.  An entrance pavilion was oriented at the corner to create both a symbolic entrance to the street and a practical one to the parking lot

The design utilizes cost-effective structures and materials, yet establishes, with its entrance pavilion, immediate, bold, functional, and friendly connection to its customers, and a memorable image to those who pass by.  Its use of brick, tile, and terra cotta and provision of shade structure are both effective and regional recognizable in this arid South Texas climate.
